Contract & Operations Data Analyst
Job Summary:
The Contract & Operations Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring effective contract performance management, financial control, and data-driven decision-making across logistics and materials service contracts. The role provides end-to-end oversight of contract execution, including cost tracking, forecasting, contractor performance monitoring, and compliance assurance. It plays a critical role in enhancing transparency, governance, and efficiency by transforming operational and financial data into actionable insights. The position acts as a key interface between Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and Contractors to support optimized contract delivery and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure contractor deliverables are executed in accordance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Maintain complete and accurate contract documentation, ensuring proper handover from Procurement.
- Monitor contractor compliance, including insurance, guarantees, certifications, and HSE requirements.
- Track and manage contract changes, including Variation Orders (VOs), amendments, and call-offs.
- Ensure subcontractor engagement aligns with company procedures and contractual obligations.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining audit-ready documentation and traceability.
- Monitor contract expenditure against Approved Contract Value (ACV) and logistics budgets.
- Prepare and validate monthly financials, including actuals, accruals, and cost allocations.
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term forecasts (3+9, 6+6, 9+3, annual cycles).
- Perform variance analysis (budget vs actuals vs forecast) and identify key cost drivers.
- Support Value of Work Done (VOWD) calculations and reporting.
- Identify cost optimization and savings opportunities through data analysis and trend monitoring.

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports (Power BI / Excel) for cost, performance, and risk metrics.

Analyze large datasets to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems and reports.

Provide regular performance and financial reports to key stakeholders.

Monitor contractor KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs).

Identify performance gaps and escalate non-compliance where required.

Support contractor performance reviews and audits.

Lead or contribute to Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) for underperforming contractors.

Coordinate operational and technical acceptance of services and deliverables.

Act as a focal point between Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and Contractors.

Support invoice validation, account reconciliation, and payment progress tracking with Finance.

Ensure effective communication and alignment across all stakeholders.

Provide insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of contract management principles and commercial terms.

Financial analysis expertise (forecasting, accruals, budgeting, variance analysis).

Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP).

Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI.

Data analysis, visualization, and reporting capability.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field

5 years’ experience in Contract Management, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, or Cost Control in Oil & Gas or similar industries

Experience in contractor performance management and KPI reporting

Proven experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting

Exposure to VOWD and cost control processes is highly desirable
