Operation Technician 1
Job Summary
Responsible for supporting and delivering the safe and efficient operation of processes and systems in line with high HSSE standards and Operational procedures whilst developing technical and analytical capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day management of operational priorities to maintain integrity of the facility.
- Completes watchkeeping duties on an operational site.
- Ensures maintenance readiness and provides testing of equipment as needed.
- Ensures safe isolation and reinstatement of operating equipment.
- Monitors and records all key operational parameters.
- Reports activities that could impact the safe operation of processes and/or systems, including potential process safety and plant optimization issues.
- Supports development and improvement of site operational procedures.
- Recognizes and support opportunities for improvement of site safety, efficiency and cost reduction.
- Acts as Performing Authority and/or job officer for site critical scopes.
- Supports site risk assessments for site operational or maintenance activities through broad industry and specific site knowledge.
- Complies with Azule's Code of Conduct and models Azule's Values & Behaviours
Requirements
- Relevant/significant experience in either an offshore oil related engineering role.
- Previous offshore experience in a related role such as Maintenance technician.
- Experience on an offshore FPSO operating site
- Critical Safety & Situational Awareness training
- Previous emergency response role such as Fire team member or CRT.
- Experienced at working with an offshgore Control of Work system.
- Proven competence in Process Isolations and/or previouis CoW Isolator competence.
- HSE experience as a Safety input contributor, Safety rep or Self Verification practitioner.
Education and experience
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development Certificate
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in offshore Production Operator role gained in the oil and gas industry.
- Substantial experience and technical understanding of maintenance and operation of equipment in oil & gas processing facilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of offshore FPSO design and operating and experiance of Process Safety systems to prevent, control and mitigate risks.

Governance
Azule Energy is an incorporated joint venture (IJV) between BP p.l.c. and Eni SpA. bp and Eni each holding a 50% share. Azule Energy operates in Angola under different Petroleum agreements which set out its contractual relationship with the Angolan Government (represented by the National Concessionaire). The referred agreements provide the framework for carrying out the Petroleum operations.
